The sexual exploitation of children and young people in the Philippines and Southeast Asia ranks among the highest in the world. Sex trafficking is an inherent result of abject poverty, which leads to vulnerability, especially in rural areas. Multiple agencies around the globe are committed to curbing and eradicating the sexual abuse of children. These forces create awareness and influence lawmakers to pass rules, amendments, and policies to ease the tide of this scourge.
The Sisters' mission is to peacefully fight the scourge of human trafficking and sexual exploitation through resucing survivors and rehabilitating them holistically: mind, body, and soul. We are also active in preventing human trafficking and exploitation through our educational assistance in vulnerable communities prone to trafficking, particularly in the rural areas of the Philippines. Through our collective effort with our mission partners and benefactors, we, our community of religious sisters, have been able to grow our two distinct ways of serving God and His people through curative and preventive measures. We have three rehabilitation centers: the Home of Love, a shelter for rehabilitation of human trafficking women and their children survivors; the My Bonita Home for Girls, a refuge for the minor female survivors of abuse; and the Regina Coeli Home of Love in California, a women's shelter for survivors of sex trafficking.
In God's name we direfully ask your great hlep to sponsor or help us look for sponsors for each and every child. A NEW LIFE FOR EACH AND EVERY CHILD. These unique times are indeed challenging, but every challenge must be taken to better serve God and the people of God. We are more dedicated now to increase our efforts in nurturing our mission, but we will need all the help we can get. Please visit our website for more stories from our beneficiaries. WWW.MQHM.ORG.
