  We also pray that each one of you feels welcome at Our Lady of the Lakes Parish no matter your situation in life. A parish, after all, is about much more than buildings. As St. John Paul II so eloquently wrote in his Apostolic Exhortation on the Laity, “The parish is not principally a structure, a territory or a building, but rather ‘the family of God, a fellowship afire with a unifying spirit,’ a ‘familial and welcoming home'."
  
  We fervently hope Our Lady of the Lakes truly is your welcoming home. We pray you will feel the spirit of Christ that is so alive and abundant here, not only in the buildings but in the people you meet. The beauty of our surroundings is a sure testament of the goodness of God, and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
